A
Stihl chainsaw is the first choice for people
who know quality. The Stihl
chainsaws are the
embodiment of Old World craftsmanship and state-of-the-art
European technology. Over nearly 75 years Stihl
has built its reputation of quality and innovation.
This reputation has become recognized worldwide.
Even used Stihl chainsaws hold their value well
because of their quality construction and lasting
dependability. For people who know chainsaws,
the first choice is a stihl chainsaw.
Andreas Stihl formed his company in Stuttgart,
Germany in 1926 to build his Stihl chainsaw.
He had developed an electric bucksaw. Stihl began
building and selling portable, gasoline powered
chain saws the following year. His company was
one of the first to build a portable, gasoline
powered saw. Continuing to innovate, Stihl came
up with a two-man gasoline powered saw in 1929.
By 1931, he was exporting his saws to Russia
and the United States. His was the first company
to export saws to these two timber-producing
giants. Today the company employs 7500 people
with more than 30,000 dealers in 140 countries.
The
Stihl saws have dozens of innovative features.
These include a smooth, clean design with no
rough edges to snag clothing; a chain catcher
to reduce the chance of operator injury if
the chain should break or derail; an anti-vibration
system to reduce operator fatigue; bumper spikes
to provide better control while cutting; a front
hand guard to reduce the chance of accidental
injury; a tool less quick chain adjuster; a chain
break designed for low maintenance and to protect
the operator’s risk of injury and many
other convenient and important features.
Stihl
chainsaw with a number of advantages
A
Stihl chainsaw holds a number of advantages
over other makes of chainsaws. These include
two-ring pistons for longer engine life and greater
engine efficiency. These saws are also equipped
with decompression valves to make starting much
easier while the electronic ignition makes starting
faster and easier. These saws, while varying
by model, are known for powerful, durable engines
powering a lightweight saw that is easy to handle
and doesn’t wear out the operator.
The
worldwide Stihl chainsaw distribution network
also handles other Stihl equipment and accessories,
including chainsaw chain. This network
provides outstanding customer service while the
Stihl manufacturing company continues to reinvent
the chainsaw with innovative design and
engineering.
