Dimter brand compressors are owned by Michael
Weinig, Inc., which is a subsidiary of Michael
Weinig AG, located in Tauberbischofsheim, Germany.
Weinig, which was founded in 1905, is involved
with many tools and machines for the wood industry,
including moulders, planers, tool grinders, tooling
and mechanical handling systems. In addition
to Dimler, they also offer brands such as Waco,
GreCon, and Raimann.
The Weinig Group has four manufacturing facilities
in Germany, and several others around the world,
including one U.S. plant in North Carolina. Additionally,
a network of sales and service subsidiaries are
located in North America, Great Britain, Australia,
Singapore, and Japan.
Dimter CNC machines include the OptiCut S50,
which is a smaller machine that requires no PC
skills or setting and adjusting. It works well
for small batch production. The OptiCut 100 and
150 Series are more advanced systems for customers
requiring high accuracy in a push-feed saw. These
machines have software that allows them to easily
integrate with other popular productivity software
such as MillVision Advantage.
For the more demanding jobs, Dimter offers the
OptiCut 450 Quantum, which they say is the fastest
optimizing saw in the world. According to product
specs, the OptiCut 450 Quantum can cut 200 four-inch
parts in one minute and accelerates from zero
to 1500 ft. per min. in 0.15 seconds.
