Karl Hettich founded the Hettich
Company in
Schramberg, Germany in 1888. As the company began
to grow and develop a solid reputation in the
furniture business, it established a branch operation
in the heart of the east Westphalian furniture
industry. In 1966, the company, which is still
mostly family-owned, moved to its present day
headquarters in Kirchlengern.
Operating under the Hettich International trademark,
the company has 36 subsidiaries around the globe
and is represented in more than 100 countries.
It maintains production facilities in various
parts of North and South America, Europe and
Asia. Their main customers are the furniture
industry, members of furniture trades and crafts,
and the do-it-yourselfer.
