Homelite product summary

Homelite brand

Homelite was founded in 1921. Charles H. Ferguson had a desire to create a small and lightweight gasoline powered generator at his home. Homelite was originally called the Home Electric Lighting Company. Over the years, Homelite has offered much to homeowners, including excellent outdoor power equipment.

Some of these outdoor equipments include string trimmers, blowers, chain saws, and hedge trimmers for the consumer and do-it-yourselfer. Since 1928, homelite has been inventing items to help the homeowner. 1928 marked it’s first self-priming centrifugal pump and ventilating blower, both powered by a two-cycle engine. 1946 brought the first electric chainsaw – which is still a popular seller today. 1963 improved on teh chain saw with a new lightweight version weighing only 12 pounds.

In 1978, homelite sold a million chain saws in one year! It was truly a great time for the small company that had grown so great over the years.

1981 brought a gasoline powered blower and 1987 brought the string trimmer (or weedeater). 1992 brought a gas-powered pressure washer and the growth continued even to today.

2003 brought New Emmissions technology and Homelite has nothing but growth in its future.

As we mentioned, Homelite carries many products. One of the most popular is the Homelite chain saw. There are several chain saws produced by Homelite. There is the Bandit, the Ranger and the Ranger CARB, the Timberman 18” and the Timberman 20”.

Homelite’s gas powered trimmers and chain saws offer quick starting, durable working ability and the latest in technology for your safety as well as environmental concerns.
