was founded in 1689 as a weapons factory. It
is now part of the Electrolux group. Because
it was founded in 1689, it is one of the world’s
oldest industrial companies and today is a leader

such as lawn mowers, chain saws and power trimmers.

Aside from chain saws, they also sell power trimmers,

mowers, push mowers, tillers, stump grinders

of the chain saw dates back to the 1950’s.
Husqvarna introduced their first chain saw in
1959. While they were not the first company to
introduce the chain saw, they made the chain
saw better. Their 1959 model was quieter than
other chain saws on the market and was improved
again in 1962 when they signed with the Swedish
Crescent company, another company that made chain
saws.
In
1969 they created a chain saw with lower vibration
to reduce strain on workers’ wrists.
This is when Husqvarna saws were really introduced
to the United States. Husqvarna exports very
little but their saws were a hit.
