The Kaeser Company was founded in 1919 by Carl Kaeser, Sr. in Coburg, Germany. It was originally an engineering workshop that produced engine parts.

In 1948 when Germany divided because of the second World War, Kaeser made their first reciprocating compressor. After that first one, an entire line of compressors were to come.

Kaeser compressors are some of the most well-known in the world.

In 1973, Carl Kaeser, Jr made a decision that would change the world of Kaeser compressors forever. Kaeser engineers developed a rotary screw compressor with a new, energy-efficient airend. The new design was very popular and put Kaeser compresors at the top of the market.

In 1980, Kaeser opening its first subsidiary in Switzerland. This was the beginning of many more international sales and organzation for the Kaeser company. In 1982, Kaeser Compressor, Inc opened in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This would be the headquarters for the U.S. subsidiary of Kaeser.

In 1991, they bought out one of Germany’s oldest compressor makers. They did extensive renovations and reopened in 1993 to make Omega rotary blowers.

Kaeser has companies based in Germany, the United States, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Guatemala and Mexico.
