Cordless
drill replacement batteries were much easier
to deal with than trying to get corded drills
to the project. We were hanging rain gutters
on our garage and were able to get the job done
much more easily by switching
replacement batteries than by dragging a drop
cord along the garage roof. A charger was plugged
into an available outlet and we charged one battery
as we used another. The project was finished
faster and easier by having several cordless
drill replacement batteries.
Cordless
drills and replacement batteries
are just the ticket for some jobs. It is much
easier to drill holes to start nails and screws,
in many instances, when you don’t
have to worry about finding and outlet and running
drop cords for corded drills. This is especially
true for jobs like hanging and repairing gutters,
hanging and repairing siding, working on decks
or deck furniture.
Cordless
drill replacement batteries are not cheap
In
many instances you can buy a new cordless drill
with a charger and two batteries for nearly
the same price that you will pay for two replacement
batteries. Cheaper cordless drills and power
tools may even be regarded as disposable as
an option to buying replacement batteries.
On the plus side, replacement batteries will
fit a several
cordless tools and will generally
give many hours of good service. For example,
the Dewalt replacement batteries fill power
cordless Dewalt drills, screwdrivers, circular
saws, lights and other tools.
Rechargeable cordless drill batteries, such
as the Makita
replacement batteries and the Ryobi
batteries can easily be recharged
and used over and over. They are powerful delivering
up to 18 volts or more to power the tools. These
batteries will eventually wear out and will need
to be replaced. Even if they are not used, they
have a limited shelf life and will need to be
replaced after three to four years.
They
are convenient and easy to use and recharge.
Cordless drill replacement batteries have
become nearly indispensable tools on many job
sites and do-it-yourselfer workshops.
