Dewalt Tools Is Cordless Leader

Dewalt Batteries Provide Long Life And Power

Raymond DeWalt, founder of dewalt tools, was looking for a way to get more efficiency from the men working form him when he came up with the idea for the first radial arm saw. Soon after he developed the saw, he left his job as superintendent of a mill and began his own company to build the saws and other power tools.

In 1992, the company introduced its first line of portable power tools. This line included several models of dewalt drills. Today there are several models of corded drills, right angle drills and cordless drills in the line. These portable power tools are high quality and ruggedly built to meet the demands of residential contractors, remodelers and professional woodworkers. The yellow DeWalt logo has become a symbol of professionalism.

Genuine Dewalt Parts Are Available For Most Tools

Dewalt parts are available through DeWalt service centers or online through the DeWalt serviceNet. The service center handles genuine DeWalt parts for most of the tools that have been produced by the company. In addition to the parts, the company also provides service manuals and makes videos available showing the proper way to repair and tune DeWalt tools.

In 1994, the company launched its line of over 30 cordless power tools. These tools are powered by heavy duty rechargeable dewalt batteries. The batteries are 18 volt and 24 volt, giving the tools long life between chargings. The battery powered motors drive the tools with all of the power of the corded tools. The advantages of these cordless tools is readily apparent. The user does not have to drag around a heavy cord or work close to an electrical outlet or generator.

The company has come a long way since the days of Raymond DeWalt. Today the company makes more than 200 different power tools and nearly 1,000 accessories. These tools include saws, drills, hammer drills, power screw drivers, bench grinders, planers, reciprocating saws and many more tools used by woodworkers. The one thing that has not changed since its beginnings is the company’s dedication to gaining labor saving efficiency with each of its dewalt tools.
