Drywall lift for easier overhead vertical drywall installation

You can rent a device called a drywall lift for to make installing drywall on a ceiling much easier. If you earn your living at drywall installation, you may want to invest in the purchase of one. The time you save doing the work will be well worth the cost of buying a drywall lift. Vertical drywall installation is often just as cumbersome as ceiling installation. Using drywall stilts together with a lift to bring the material into a vertical position can save you time and if you are a professional, you will get the job done faster and get paid much quicker.

How does a drywall lift work?

A drywall lift is a large platform that you can winch up. When you are installing drywall, all you have to do is lay the sheet of drywall on it and crank it up to the place you want it. It holds it in place while you screw or nail the sheet. You can use it if you are working alone, but it is much easier if you have someone with you. When using this device, always start in one of the corners and work your way across the ceiling.

If you have a high ceiling make sure that the drywall lift you get will extend to the needed height. It would be a waste of money to rent one only to find that it doesn't reach the ceiling.

Drywall panel lift

A drywall lift is also called a drywall panel lift because it lifts a panel of drywall at a time. The platform is large enough to hold a sheet that measures 4 feet by 16 feet and no tools are required to assemble it. The drywall panel lift is made of steel and is on wheels so that you can easily move it around the room.

Using a drywall lift for installing drywall on the ceiling or using it for vertical drywall installation really helps when you are finished for the day. Your back does not have aches and pains and there is less danger of really hurting yourself with the heavy lifting. Installing dry wall is so easy when you use a lift.
