How
to install parquet flooring
Parquet flooring tiles are laid in much the
same manner as vinyl floor tiles. You have to
make sure the tiles fit into the grooves as you
lay them down. You should plan how you will lay
the tiles so that when you are installing parquet
flooring you will be able to mix up tiles from
different boxes or lay them in different directions
so as to give the appearance of mixed wood. When
you have the tiles in the spot where you want
to have them, you have to apply adhesive to the
back of the tile. Make sure it fits into the
groove and use the rubber mallet to pound it
in, if necessary. To fit some tiles around corners
and doorways, you may have to saw some of them
so that they fit perfectly.
When
you are just learning how to install parquet
flooring, you may need to experiment a bit on
a few tiles before you get started. You can saw
and apply adhesive the same as if you were actually
installing parquet flooring, so that when you
do start you will have an better idea of how
to install parquet flooring. Many
people who like the look and feel of hardwood,
but not the price are choosing to have parquet
