Armstrong tools are backed with experience

Armstrong industrial hand tools are among the best in the world

Armstrong tools have been leaders in the American tool industry for over 100 years. Four Scottish brothers formed the Armstrong Brothers Tool Company in 1890, and while they initially focused on bicycle parts they quickly moved into the tool manufacturing business. Throughout the twentieth century Armstrong Tools pioneered many advances in the manufacture of tools, and their drop forged tools are still among the best in the world.

The Armstrong Tool Company was started in Chicago, and it remains headquartered there to this day. The company has two factories, one in Chicago and one in Fayetteville Arkansas. The Armstrong Company was owned by the four Scottish brothers and their descendents for 105 years before being sold to the Danaher Corporation in 1994. Under this new ownership the company has continued to produce industrial grade hand tools.

Armstrong industrial hand tools

Armstrong industrial hand tools are made from the strongest steel using drop forging technology pioneered by Armstrong in the mid-1900s. They include extra innovations for durability; examples of this include closed head designs for added strength and flex and open head combo wrenches with heavy duty construction.

There are many different types of Armstrong hand tools. These include heavy duty wrench sets in a variety of styles, including traditional box and open ended wrenches, adjustable (crescent) wrenches, and flare nut wrenches. You can also get high quality ratchet and socket sets, with sizes ranging from the smallest of ¼ inch drive sets to heavy duty ½ inch drive sets. Armstrong also offers industry specific hand tool sets, including sets for pipe fitters, plumbers, and auto mechanics. And Armstrong also offers heavy duty impact sockets that will fit any impact driver; these sets of sockets are made from high alloy steel, with a cold formed safety collar to ensure that the pins will not cause injury.

The Armstrong Tool Company has been in the business of tools for many years, and the tools they offer feature industry leading advances in manufacturing technology and materials. Armstrong manufactures all its tools in the United States, and backs them with a lifetime warranty. This is why many professionals looking for quality tools choose Armstrong tools.
