Because the white pine tree is so straight, because its branches do not start until about two thirds up the tree, it is ideal for commercial use. It is very easy to get straight pieces from the white pine tree. This is another soft wooded tree that is easy to work with, especially with traditional carpenter tools. Much of the time, white pine tree timber is considered too soft for complete structural support, but it works well for other functions.
