A.H. Petersen to build a lightweight handheld

Shooter’ ¼ inch drill, weighing
about five pounds. His company was destroyed
by fire in 1922. In 1924, A.F. Siebert bought
the assets of the company and renamed it Milwaukee
Electric Tool Corporation.
In

company built a reputation as an innovator and

tools that followed the ‘Hole Shooter’ were

In
1995, Atlas Copco AB, which is headquartered
in Stockholm, Sweden, acquired the Milwaulkee
power tools company. This gives Milwaulkee
tools additional financial resources and opportunities
to compete in the international marketplace
and led to the formation of Milwaukee power

In recent years Milwaulkee tools have become
leaders in cordless power tools. The company
has introduced a line of circular saws, reciprocating
saws, drills and power screwdrivers that use
