Milwaulkee
Tools has been a recognized leader in heavy
duty hand power tools since 1924. The company
was built to manufacture the ‘hole
shooter’, a ¼’ electric
drill. Milwaulkee Tools, Inc. has built on
the success of this original tool and is
now a recognized leader in the production
of heavy duty professional grade hand power
tools. When professionals think of power
tools, they think of Milwaulkee Tools.
The
history of Milwaulkee Tools traces back to
the end of WWI, 1918, when Henry Ford asked
A.H. Petersen to build a lightweight handheld
electric drill. He developed the ‘Hole
Shooter’ ¼ inch drill, weighing
about five pounds. His company was destroyed
by fire in 1922. In 1924, A.F. Siebert bought
the assets of the company and renamed it Milwaukee
Electric Tool Corporation.
In
the years that followed, the Milwaulkee tool
company built a reputation as an innovator and
developer of high quality tools. Some of the
tools that followed the ‘Hole Shooter’ were
the ¾” Hammer Drill, the hand sander-grinder,
powerful electric motors, the ½” right
angle drill, the Sawzall reciprocating saw and
many more tools that are widely used around the
world today.
Milwaulkee
Tools Acquired By Atlas Copco AB
In
1995, Atlas Copco AB, which is headquartered
in Stockholm, Sweden, acquired the Milwaulkee

tools additional financial resources and opportunities
to compete in the international marketplace
and led to the formation of Milwaukee power
tools uk.
In recent years Milwaulkee tools have become
leaders in cordless power tools. The company
has introduced a line of circular saws, reciprocating
saws, drills and power screwdrivers that use
interchangeable battery packs.
Today the company employs more than 2,000 people
and Milwaulkee tools are distributed virtually
worldwide. Milwaukee power tools service is provided
by more than 800 service centers and 17 branch

of Milwaulkee tools is its dedication to building
high quality professional grade tools. For high
quality power hand tools, the best in the business
choose Milwaulkee tools.
