There are many types of circular saw blades

Having quality circular saw blades in your shop is the best way to ensure you will get the clean, accurate cuts you need for your projects. If you are planning multiple renovations for your home, it is a good idea to have circular saw blades on hand that can handle any material, so that you can easily change table saw blades (for example) to suit the material you are working with, whether it is vinyl siding or fine trim work.

Choosing table saw blades

Your table saw can be used for a variety of different cutting tasks, from sheeting for your deck or walls to pieces for furniture. Different table saw blades are designed to handle each task: for example, a flooring blade will be able to handle very rough materials, while a masonry blade will allow you to cut brick and other tough materials. When choosing circular saw blades for your table saw you should also look at the number of teeth on the blade – the more teeth you have, the more cleanly the blade will cut. It is important to note, however, that fine toothed circular saw blades will dull much faster if used on rougher materials.

Carbide tipped table saw blades are a long lasting option for most woodworkers. Steel blades, however, can often be exchanged at a much lower price. This allows you to ensure you will always have sharp circular saw blades on hand.

Saw blades for plastic

Many woodworkers integrate sheets of plastic into their projects, particularly in kitchen applications. Because plastic melts and chips easily, it is important to select a circular saw blade for plastic rather than using your general purpose saw blade to prepare your materials. A circular saw blade for plastic will have many fine teeth to provide an accurate and quick cut, thus minimizing heat and chipping.

Simonds blades

Professional circular saw blades for larger applications such as sawmills or cabinetry production can be expensive, so it is a good to select blades that will last. Simonds circular saw blades are designed and made to exacting standards, and provide reliable service to ensure your production line will keep running. This durability and versatility has mad Simonds Industries one of the world's leading manufacturers of circular saw blades.
