workbench furniture

How special workbench furniture can improve your workshop

Additional workbench furniture and equipment

Bought all your workbench furniture, tools and machinery and thought that you are just about to get going now. Well, it may be time to have a look on some additional accessories for your bench which might help speed up your daily work. Whether it is special workbench furniture or additional vises, all can be useful and you should be aware that these products exist.

Workbench furniture and cabinets

Having made or bought your workbench is one thing, but organize and arrange some workbench furniture around it is equally important. First of all there is the tool storage cabinet. You either have you tools hang up just on the wall next to your workbench or you get a special cabinet for it. In my workshop I have two separate pieces of tool and machinery furniture. One to store tools and machinery in and another one for all basic workshop hardware. Everything really from screws to hinges, dowels and bolts is stored in this additional workbench furniture. Having a separate piece of furniture for all your hand tools and hardware allows a dust free, clean and safe storage.

Next to good durable workbench furniture comes a range of additional clamps and vises which might be useful. Especially for woodworking workbenches the variety is nearly endless. From the traditional square bench dogs, to special round once up to hold down clamps all perfectly fitting into holes of the benchtop. Amongst others have a look on special file clamps for sharpening your hand saws as well as special carving clamps attached to the workbench. These carving clamps give the woodcarver and special firm hold of the work piece. All these clamps just like additional workbench furniture make work and clamping so much easier.
